Whew! We've had a busy weekend!
Saturday hubby went to his dad's to work on his truck and I stayed home with the girls and worked on some shop stuff. Then we went to my sister's to watch the OU game that evening. I'm sad that I didn't get a picture of the girls in their Sooner shirts that Brittany made but they will definitely be wearing them again so I'll have many opportunities to get pictures of them.
Yesterday we went to go look at furniture for the house…just to get an idea of what we want & see if we agree on the same stuff. :) We actually had a dining table put on hold but after getting home we decided it would be too big for our new dining room so it's back to the drawing board on that.
In the afternoon, we took the girls downtown to a new kids festival called Wiggle Out Loud. It was super hot yesterday but right before we went out there some rain showers headed toward the city cooled it down just enough to make it tolerable outside. The actual rain fizzled out before it made it to downtown. The girls had fun listening to all the bands and dancing.
After we left the festival, we went a few blocks to the Myriad Gardens and let the kids play in the Children's Garden. It's a pretty neat area with a splash pad, a vegetable garden, ponds and other fun organic type things to play on/with.
We weren't at the gardens long until the girls were DONE. There was fit throwing all the way to the car. They didn't get a nap at all yesterday but they had a blast. Now I know they are not anywhere near ready to give up naps. Thank goodness! ;)
Today, we didn't have plans other than having lunch at James's grandma's house. She has a swing set so the girls got to play again. This time, however, we left in time for them to have a nap!
We had a very fun, very packed weekend but we are all pretty tired and ready to get back to a little bit of normal.
How was your Labor Day weekend?
