For MOMs by MOMs

Introducing For MOMs (moms of multiples) by MOMs!!

Are you a MOM (mom of multiples)? Do you sometimes need a shoulder to lean on or maybe advice from other moms of multiples about having multiples? Well look no further, you’ve come to the right place!

Jennifer, Amanda, Megan and I found each other through blogging and have cultivated a lasting friendship. We talk pretty much daily about life with our twins and it has been a great comfort having other moms who understand what my life is like being a mom of twins.

In the past weeks, we have been talking about using our blogs to create a platform to discuss MOM topics and also allowing other MOMs to give their input as well. After throwing around some ideas, we finally decided to host a weekly link up called ‘For MOMs by MOMs’.

The link-up will be every Monday and each week we’ll be discussing a different topic. Most of the topics will be geared mainly towards other MOMs but some will definitely be broad enough that all moms can get involved!

What part do you play in the link-up? We want your opinions and experiences too! We think it would be great for MOM’s to get different perspectives because your experiences and/or opinions might not be the same as ours…and that’s ok!

Since this is a new link up, next week we’d like for all of you to introduce yourselves. Tell us about yourself, your multiples, whether or not you went through fertility treatments or anything else you would like to share so that we can get to know you.

There aren’t any requirements to enter this link up. We want this to be about supporting one another and maybe finding a few friends in the process! We do encourage you to follow the blogs you like to show them some blog love. ;)

We are so excited about this and hope you come back each week to link up!

Don’t forget! Next week’s topic is about introducing ourselves!

Sweet Tillie Update

photo (40)

Tillie had her first helmet check today. We went in to see if any adjustments needed to be made to her helmet. They made a few minor adjustments but other than that, it’s fitting pretty good.

She’s up to wearing it for 23 hours a day now. I’m so glad she tolerates it like she does. Sometimes, it actually seems like she likes it. When we put it on her, we tell her how cute she looks and she just grins. She got a lot of attention at the grocery store last week and she would pat the sides of her helmet and give people a huge grin and sometimes would even squeal. She’s too cute! I think she’s going to be my girly girl….she knows a good accessory when she sees one. ;)

Speaking of accessories…I’ve gone crazy decorating her helmet. I love being able to change out the stickers to match her outfits. If we have a day or two where we don’t leave the house, I just leave the stickers on from the last time we were out running errands. I think I need to go get some more stickers though. She has a few outfits that none of the stickers I bought would match.

I really hope her time in this helmet goes fast. She tolerates it so well but it breaks my heart that she has to wear it. I know it’s for the best….I just already want to be done with it.

Her physical therapy is going well. Now that she is starting to become mobile, it’s helping her work and stretch the muscle in her neck. We’ve just about decided she’s been able to crawl for a while, she just has no interest….or hasn’t been motivated enough to do so.

Regardless of everything, she is one tough and happy little girl. I thank God for that every day.

P.S. Tensley says ‘Hi!’ She’s doing well. I’ll post an update on her soon.

When Daddy is away….

…the girls will play! Whew! We had a busy weekend!

Friday, Tillie had PT. Then we went grocery shopping and then I had a girls night out with my long time BFF, Jami. It was good to get out and be able to chat without the interruption of kids/babies. It’s something we try to do as often as we can…which isn’t very often. We chatted over chips and salsa just like we’ve always done and then we continued chatting over coffee. I don’t really even remember what we chatted about but it was good therapy.

Saturday, we went to a birthday party. The girls were WILD Saturday morning. They were squealing and laughing and being little octopus monkeys (this is what I call them when I have to wrestle them…when their arms and legs are going in every direction and they are on the move all at the same time!) and so we were late to the party. Getting 3 girls ready by yourself is no easy task!

Tillie copping an attitude & her hair cracks me up. Ever notice pics of Tensley being blurry? That’s because she Never. Sits. Still. You think the pancakes, eggs & sausage they had for breakfast might have turned them into wild & crazy babies?

Sunday, I decided that my sis and I needed to take the kids to the zoo. She reluctantly agreed. The day started off a little chilly but ended up being a beautiful day. My sis and I also got quite a workout. I had no idea there were so many hills at our zoo! Both of us had strollers with TWO children in them! We were exhausted by the end of the day and I am a little bit sore today.

Here are the girls and my niece & nephew, ready to get the party started!

CameraAwesomePhoto (34)*Sigh* Always a paci in the pictures of the girls these days.

Our first stop, of course, was the giraffes and then we ended the day with the new elephant exhibit. It was spectacular! There was an enormous uphill walkway that would allow you to view the elephants from above. It was neat because you felt like you were pretty close to them.
CameraAwesomePhoto (28)  CameraAwesomePhoto (24)
Please pay no attention to the fact that my head is clearly reflecting the sun due to the fact that I have fine & thin hair. Ugh. Neither one of the girls got fussy the whole day. As you can see in the picture though, Tillie was getting pretty tired…there was just too much excitement for them to nap.

CameraAwesomePhoto (36)  CameraAwesomePhoto (30)

I’d really like to go back and spend more time at the elephant exhibit and then visit the children’s area…we ran out of time so we didn’t make it by there.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Fashion Friday: Just the Girls

We are going to have a pretty busy weekend. Daddy went on a fishing trip this weekend so it’s just us girls and we decided to start it off right with some fashion fun!

Yesterday, I went to Hobby Lobby to snatch up some half off stickers for Tillie’s helmet. I got several different letter stickers, flowers, cupcakes butterflies, etc. A girl’s gotta make sure her accessories all mesh with her outfits!

Tillie is so rockin’ the newest trend in fashion today….her helmet! This little cutie patootie looks so cute in her helmet that is adorned with her name in sparkly silver letters and those black flourishes are just so in style right now.

photo 1 (19)

Next up is Miss Tensley. She’s wearing the same outfit as her sister. It’s a turquoise tunic with scottie dog appliques and a black and turquoise polka dot sash. The leggings are also polka dot to match the sash on the tunic. In support of her sister, she is also sporting a black headband with a big black bow and a little bit of bling.   And lets not forget the footwear. Both girls are wearing frilly white ruffled socks. Oh, and let’s not forget the most important piece of Tensley’s outfit….a purple paci with a lady bug paci holder! Haha!

photo 3 (8)

Last but not least is Momma. It’s a little chilly today so I’ve added a purple ruffled scarf to my normal t-shirt and jeans ensemble. For my hair, I went with an up do…a somewhat messy inverted ponytail (I haven’t worn my hair like this since high school…yep, I probably just dated myself. Oh well.) On my feet are purple Rocket Dog ballet flats to match the purple scarf.

What are you wearing this weekend?

The Glamorous Job of a SAHM

Who am I kidding? There is absolutely no glamor in being a SAHM. It’s work. Lots and lots of hard, grueling, break your back work. Yet it is the best job I’ve ever had.

This was my day yesterday…

Woke up at 8am. Got bottles ready. Poured my iced coffee. Took my medicine. Gave the girls their bottle. Changed and clothed the girls. Took them to their play area (one. at. a. time. Which means two trips down the hall and back again.) to play while I made breakfast. Cleaned up the kitchen. Made breakfast. Gave the girls their breakfast. I stood and watched them while I ate my breakfast. Cleaned up girls. Put the girls down for a nap.

Cleaned up the high chairs. Cleaned the kitchen…Again. Vacuumed the front part of the house. Started a load of laundry. Folded a load of laundry. Put up a load of laundry. Picked up the living room and the girls bathroom. Got the girls up from their nap. Gave them their bottles. Fixed lunch. Gave the girls lunch. I stood and watched them while I ate my lunch. Changed diapers (two more trips down the hall & back). Took girls to their play area to play. Cleaned the kitchen…yet again. Separated the girls (Tensley loves her sister a little too much sometimes). Switched over the laundry. Separated the girls. Folded and put up a load of laundry. Put the girls down for a nap. Debated taking a nap…

(catching my breath)….

Vacuumed again (the girls are messy eaters). Folded 2 loads of laundry. Unloaded the dishwasher. Checked on girls. Laid down on my bed. Woke up 20 minutes later. Switched over laundry. Started dinner. James came home. Girls woke up. James gave them their bottles. He played with the girls while I finished dinner. Warmed up the girls dinner. We all ate dinner. James went out to mow the yard.

Attempted to put up dinner. The girls started fussing. Cleaned them up and sat them at their activity center while I tried to put up dinner again. Went to put up dinner. Took Tensley back to activity center (she followed me to the kitchen). Went back to kitchen. Started loading dishwasher. Took Tensley to the step & play. Back to kitchen. Tensley starts crying. Tillie starts crying. Gave both girls their pacis. Back to kitchen. Tensley starts crying…and crying. Tillie starts crying. Bath time! Tillie gets put in Bumbo seat in bathroom. Wrestled Tensley to get her clothes off and into the tub. In walks my sister. Bathed Tensley. Wrestled Tensley to get her in a diaper and jammies. I start to sweat. Tensley gets handed over to Auntie. Wrestled Tillie to get her clothes off. She falls over & bumps her head on the floor. Comfort Tillie with hugs & kisses. Get Tillie in bath tub. My sister leaves. Bathed Tillie. Wrestled her to get her in her diaper and jammies. (I’m really working up a sweat at this point). Carried Tillie back to activity mat in living room while trying to get Tensley to follow. Set Tillie down. Crying ensues. Look back and Tensley has knocked over and is playing in the dirty laundry from their hamper that I brought from their room to take to the laundry room. Move Tensley to activity mat. Crying ensues. Off to kitchen to warm up bottles. Put both girls in their bouncers. Gave them their bottles. Girls asleep within minutes after finishing said bottles. Ahhhhh!

(Still with me? It’s not over yet.)

Clean up mess in bathroom. Walk to kitchen to clean it for the 5 millionth time! Decided to sit instead. Sat for 2 hours (and there was no way I was getting up anytime soon). James went to bed. I got up and picked up the girls toys. Folded a load of laundry. Switched over laundry. Took a shower. Crawled in bed.

(Whew! I think I burned just as many calories writing this post as I did experiencing this day!)

There are days where I wish (not really) that I had my old office job so that I could sit for extended periods of time again. I love being a SAHM but it’s the most physical job I’ve ever had. What would be nice is if a janitorial crew (like the ones who clean office buildings) would come in after bed time and clean up after us so I wouldn’t have to. lol

If I only knew what I know now about being a SAHM…………………………………...I’d still chose to be one.

Happy Thursday!

Proud Momma

Yesterday was a big day for us….well, mainly Tillie but nevertheless, a big day.

We started of with a very early appointment to get Tillie’s helmet. It was so early, they went in their jammies because momma barely got herself ready and the car packed up. Tillie did great at her appointment. Each time they put the helmet on to see where they need to make adjustments, she sat still and didn’t fuss a bit. Then when they took it off I rewarded her with patty cake and itsy bitsy spider (she loves to clap). We left with the helmet on.

photo 1 (15)

We decided on white so we could decorate it however we wanted.  She wore it for 1 hour and then off for 1 hour. She never fussed. She would get quiet and stop laughing & squealing but she still smiled. When I took it off, she would go back to squealing & laughing. I’m sure it’s just something she has to get use to then she’ll be laughing & squealing regardless. :)

After being out running errands all day (literally. like I picked up dinner on my way home), I fed the girls and then let them play to release some energy before putting them to bed.

They. Were. Hysterical.

They laughed and squealed and played and interacted. Tensley was crawling all over the place and Tillie decided she wanted to follow so she would get on all fours and try really hard to crawl so she could catch up with sissy. After many tries, she finally started being able to take 2 crawling “steps”! Girlfriend is going to be crawling everywhere very soon!

Here’s proof…a baby on the move blurry pic.
photo 2 (17)

And if that’s not good enough for you, how about this…

Another good thing about yesterday? The girls were getting along. We’re having more & more of these days.
photo 1 (15)

I’m so proud of these girls and I ask myself all the time, “How did I get so blessed to have such good babies?”

And Tillie? Well, I think she’s going to be just fine. ;)

Go to Target & Stay there

Events on the afternoon of Friday, April 13th…..

“Hi honey. I just looked at the radar and noticed the storms are really close. Are you near a TV? Can you tell me how bad they are?”

Turns out they were pretty bad. I was with my mom & the girls shopping and the storms were headed towards our house. Some had rotation and golf ball sized hail.

“Babe, it’s looking pretty bad. Don’t come home because they are headed this way & you shouldn’t be driving. I don’t think it’s headed your way. Go ahead and go to Target & stay there until it passes.”

Um. Surely he knew how dangerous that statement was. :)  Little did I know how dangerous that statement was!

We proceeded to Target. We weren’t there long before I started hearing weird sounding thunder…thunder that I had heard before….a sound that you typically hear before a tornado…an eerie constant rumbling. Then we heard the downpour on the roof. Seconds later the tornado sirens went off. Are you kidding me?!

Next thing I know, we hear an announcement that there’s a tornado heading our way and to proceed to the produce section. This is where I get a little panicky. My mom would say that I totally freaked out…she likes to embellish stories but I’ll admit, I was a little panicked. I have babies now. It is my job to keep them safe. I proceeded to the produce section and weaved in and out of the people until I got as close to the deli/bakery counter as possible. I knew that if it got really bad, they would start moving people into the freezers and I wanted to make sure we made it into those freezers if it came to that.

After numerous and failed attempts to call someone to find out exactly what was going on, I started getting outside calls coming in. My dad got through first. He was making sure we were ok.  Then James got through. He was near a TV & could tell us exactly where the tornado was. Thankfully it was almost due south of us and was moving north east. It did, however, hit about a mile due east of where we were….way too close for my comfort.

Finally, they let us all go. I’ve never been so happy to leave Target! Haha!

We were suppose to have bad storms come through Saturday night but thankfully, they weren’t even severe once they reached us. However, a town in the north west part of the state was totally devastated by a very large tornado. My heart breaks for them as I know what it’s like to lose your home to a tornado.

Needless to say, Friday the 13th was, if you’re a glass half full kind of person, lucky for me and my family.

Hope your weekend was a good one!

An Update on RSV

TnT had their 9 month WCC today which included a follow up on their RSV diagnosis from last week.

The good news? Their lungs & ears were clear. We’re continuing breathing treatments until at least this weekend. We also came home with some steroids for Tensley because the pediatrician thinks she may have an upper respiratory thing. The girls are both still pretty snotty & congested so they also came home with Nasonex.

Tillie seems to be feeling much better. She’s been happy & smiling & giggling the last 2 days. I love that she’s such a happy baby.

Tensley has her moments. Sometimes she’s giggling and playing and then she has moments where she crawls to me and tugs on my pant leg because she just wants to snuggle with momma.

The breathing treatments are going ok. We’ve tried many different methods on trying to get them to sit still and the thing that works the best (though not all the time) is the PBS app on our phones. Me, James and my Mom all have it on our phones now. Sid the Science Kid seems to capture their attention the best. Dinosaur Train runs a close second.

As for their 9 month WCC…

Tensley has surpassed her sister for the first time in weight since they were born! She weighs 19lbs 15oz and is 26 3/8” long. Tillie has actually lost weight since her last visit to the doctor. She weighs 19lbs 10oz and is 27 1/8” long. They each got one shot….ouch! But really, they did great. Only cried for a few seconds…well after they got their shot. :)

Two appointments down this week and one to go….two more next week. Including a very early appointment to pick up Tillie’s helmet.

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather, let’s hope momma doesn’t get sick. I need to get out of this house for something other than doctor’s appointments!

Wednesday Randoms

I’m so glad it’s time for my random post because I couldn’t manage to pull a post together for a single topic.

Yesterday we went to get Tillie measured for her helmet. I was beyond excited to learn that her asymmetry number had decreased from 14.4 down to 11.2 in just a month…and we don’t even have the helmet yet! The technician who took her measurements said that she probably won’t have to wear the helmet as long now (she was going to have to wear it for at least 5 months). So here’s hoping that the helmet will help get her asymmetry down to an acceptable number in no time!
photo 1 (13) photo 2 (13)
I’m bummed the pictures turned out blurry because they are such cute pics. I didn’t realize how blurry they were when I was looking at them on my phone. :(

In my blog reading last night, I came across this post by Mom Heart. It spoke to my heart and I know it will speak to many of you moms out there as well.

I think the girls are doing much better. Tillie’s smile and appetite are back and Tensley’s spunk is definitely back. Today is their 9 month well child check. Hopefully, we’ll get the all clear from the RSV.

I think I’m out of the funk I’ve had the last 2 weeks. My energy is back somewhat. Lack of sleep can definitely mess with your head…and your body.

I’ve connected with some other twin moms outside of social media recently and it has made me very happy. I love talking to them on a more personal level.

After reading this post by Megan over at In this Wonderful Life, I’ve added a link in my sidebar. Click on it. Educate yourself. Spread the word. Save babies.

We’ve been cleaning and purging around here getting ready for a garage sale in a few weeks and it feels good. I love Spring cleaning!

I am an iced coffee addict! I currently have 3 half gallon cartons of it in my fridge.

I’m still loving our new bedroom. As long as we’ve been married, we’ve never really had an uncluttered, put together bedroom. I wake up every morning and just smile because it’s comfy and swanky and just….us.

I’ve been getting comments from people asking questions but I have no way to respond because they don’t leave an email address so I’m thinking about doing a Q&A post. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or email me!

Happy Hump Day!

Easter Re-cap & Link Up

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:18-20

What better way to start out Easter with a baptism? My 6 (soon to be 7) year old niece got baptized yesterday during the morning service at church and I had the privilege to photograph the momentous occasion. I am so proud of her and know that God has great things planned for her.

JWTYHK-0004  JWTYHK-0006

After church, I rushed home as we were hosting Easter this year (Yes, even with the girls having RSV. Doc said it would be fine. I know, I MUST be crazy.)

The Easter bunny was good to the girls this year. I hope they don’t think that the Easter bunny will be bringing big gifts every year.
JWTYHK-0016  JWTYHK-0020

We were also able to bring my Great Aunt Lydia to our house. If you’ve followed this blog, you might remember she is the Aunt that had a stroke on New Year’s Day last year that affected her memory. She doesn’t remember a lot and rarely remembers/calls people by their names but she seems to be familiar with everyone. Just before her stroke, we went to visit her at her home and I told her she needed to stick around (she was 91 at the time) so she could see the twins (we didn’t know genders at that time). I’m not sure if she remembers all of that but now, when she sees the girls, her face just lights up. She is and always has been very special to me so it was a great joy to have her with us for Easter.

I didn’t have a chance to get linked up with Megan over at In this Wonderful Life for my Easter d├ęcor earlier this week so I’m doing it now. :)

That wreath was Pinspired. I changed it up a little bit from the pinned project. I’m going to do a post on it very soon over on my crafty blog.

Hope every one had a great Easter weekend!

TnT are 9 Months Old!

Wow. Really? How did that happen?

Eek! I only have 3 months until their 1st birthday! Wha?!

Yep, TnT turned 9 months old today (yesterday by the time this is published). Too bad they had to celebrate with RSV. What a gift for turning a month older, huh? Tillie seems to be on the mend but Tensley now has it…full on. Tomorrow is day 5 for her so we’re hoping she starts to get better. I had my sister come over and listen to their lungs tonight (she’s a RN) and she said Tillie sounded pretty good and only had a little wheezing and not with every breath. Tensley didn’t sound as good but wasn’t as bad as Tillie on her day 5 so I’m hoping the breathing treatments have kept it at bay. She’s been coughing pretty bad this evening though.

Since the girls have been sick, I haven’t had a chance to get official 9 month pics but I did snap some this morning while they were playing. Maybe I can get some tomorrow when they’re dressed up for Easter.

JWTYHK-0115   JWTYHK-0117

The girls are at the age now where they are so fun to watch. They’re constantly learning and trying new things. They are laughing and giggling and interacting with us and each other. They are also becoming quite mobile which wears their momma out! Maybe I’ll finally lose the rest of that baby-weight. ;)

Miss Tillie

JWTYHK-0119You are quite the little trooper.

You are fairly patient and are able to deal with just about anything. You are an observer and like to study things before you attempt to do anything.

You love your sister very much….from a distance.

You have such a sweet spirit and you smile and giggle quite often.

You have recently become very shy and when a stranger or someone you haven’t seen in a while comes around, you put your hands over your ears. Sometimes you’ll even cry…especially if you’re tired or not feeling well.

In the last month, you have learned to clap and wave. Sometimes you try to do both at the same time. :)

You still aren’t crawling but you sure can get around by rolling.

You are still doing good with your physical therapy. The more active you become, the better you’re torticollis gets. However, despite our efforts, you will be getting a helmet this month.

You have started throwing little fits where you grunt and tighten your whole body (I’m afraid you got that from your momma). I sure hope we can break you of this and that you don’t throw this kind of fit when you are older.

You have started eating ‘finger foods’. You get very excited when I pull out the Cheerios box. You are pretty good at feeding yourself but I often find most of what I gave you in your lap or under the cushion of your high chair. I’d have to say that your favorite food though is Mac N Cheese.

You weigh around 20 lbs and are wearing size 4 diapers and mainly 12 month clothes. You’re feet, however, aren’t growing as fast as the rest of you. You are still wearing size 1 (3-6 month) shoes.

Miss Tensley

JWTYHK-0118You are still my little spit-fire.

You are independent but if I’m in your sight, you need to be near me.

You love your sister so much….sometimes a little too much (p.s. hair pulling is not a sign of love).

You are sensitive and loving and you have the cutest little giggle.

You are not as shy as your sister but if she starts crying when someone unfamiliar comes around, you start to cry and have stranger anxiety as well.

You have a hard time sitting still and lose interest in things pretty quickly.

You are a master at crawling and have started pulling up in the last couple of weeks. However, you haven’t figured out how to get down once you’ve pulled yourself up to something and are constantly bonking your head on things.

You are definitely the loudest when it comes to getting your way. You can cry and protest with the best of them. You may have your Daddy fooled but you can’t fool me sister! :)

You have started eating ‘finger foods’ and are pretty good at it. You shovel it in as soon as I put in on your tray. I’m not sure what your favorite food is because you eat it all so well

You weigh around 20lbs and are wearing size 4 diapers (although size 3’s still fit) and mainly 12 month clothing. Like your sister, your feet are tiny. You are also wearing size 1 (3-6 month) shoes.

Oh…and you have a tooth! I discovered it this last Wednesday when you decided to gnaw on my finger.

The girls are at the age now where they are so fun to watch. They’re constantly learning and trying new things. They are laughing and giggling and interacting with us and each other. They are also becoming quite mobile which wears their momma out! Maybe I’ll finally lose the rest of that baby-weight. ;)

“Hi Sweet Baby, You Have RSV”

My mom and I are sitting in the exam room with TnT waiting for the doctor. We had to wait a little while as they were a little backed up. I couldn’t complain because we were almost 15 minutes late to our appointment. Finally the doctor comes in, looks at Tillie and says, “Hi sweet baby, you have RSV". Then, she looks at me and says, “Her RSV test was VERY positive and Tensley will definitely get it. It’s only a matter of time”. Then Tensley coughs. Ugh. That was the last thing I wanted to hear.

The last few times that the girls were sick…had snotty noses, congestion, or a little cough, I was so worried about them getting RSV. I would call the doctor, they’d want to see us, so we’d go in. Nope, just a little cold. This time? RSV never crossed my mind. I have no idea why, really. I mean, Tillie has sounded worse than she ever has but I just kept saying, “Oh, she just has a bad cold.” Mom fail.

The doctor said RSV usually peaks on day 5. Yesterday was day 5 for Tillie but will have to have breathing treatments for at least another week so I’m hoping that she starts getting better. Tensley just started the coughing yesterday so we have a couple of weeks with her. We went ahead and started breathing treatments on her to try to keep it from getting too bad. However, she coughed pretty much all night last night. :(

Thankfully, we can still have family for Easter…we are hosting this year. The doctor just said they shouldn’t be around infants and TnT are the only infants in our family. The rest of the kids are older.

Neither one of the girls act sick. This was them playing yesterday.

JWTYHK-TnT-040312-5  JWTYHK-TnT-040312-6

In case you are wondering, here are some facts about RSV…

  • RSV is short for respiratory syncytial virus, a major cause of respiratory illness in young children
  • It is the most common lower respiratory infection seen in infants. It is estimated that 90% of children are infected with this virus by age 2.
  • The virus is found in droplets or discharges from the nose and throat of an infected person and is spread by breathing in droplets after an infected person has coughed or hand-to-mouth contact after touching an infected person or a surface that an infected person has touched or coughed on
  • Symptoms can develop anywhere from 3-6 days after exposure.
  • Infection usually lasts 7-14 days but may last up to 3 weeks.
  • Contagious period is anywhere from 3-10 days.
  • Older children and adults can contract RSV but symptoms typically present as a common cold.

To Prevent RSV, WASH your hands, COVER your mouth when coughing or sneezing then WASH your hands, STAY AWAY from infants if possible when showing signs of a cold (i.e. sniffles, cough, sneezing).
